Rick Skaggs

Founder

As co-founder, Rick Skaggs oversees strategic partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions. Rick thrives on connecting with people and forming partnerships which suits him well as the chief evangelist of TSP, exploring new and strategic avenues of growth for the company. Additionally, Rick maintains his executive-level relationships with new and strategic TSP customers. Rick served as TSP’s CEO for the first 13 years of the company since its inception. In January 2016, he moved into an interim role where he focused and led a sales organization specifically focused on new and emerging business opportunities.

Prior to founding TSP, Rick enjoyed a successful career at Honeywell, starting as a service engineer and working his way up to salesman, sales manager, and regional director. Before joining Honeywell, Rick served in the military for three years, which allowed him to travel and live in New Jersey, Washington D.C., and Korea. Rick often volunteers for various causes, including Leighton’s Gift, the American Cancer Society, NICU Helping Hands, and Folds of Honor. He is also an active member of Crossway Church of Christ, where he is on the strategic planning committee.

In his free time, Rick can be found fishing, shooting guns, woodworking, boating, or riding one of his four Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He is very family-oriented and spends much of his time with his friends and family, including his wife of four decades, four children, and nine grandchildren (and counting). He has also always been active in sports, whether it is playing, coaching, or cheering on his grandchildren at their games — he even won the Texas State Golden Gloves Boxing Championship in 1972! Finally, Rick is motivated daily by his strong faith. Every day, he thanks God for giving him another day on Earth and looks forward to helping someone.
