Frances Hafer

Controller

As controller at TSP, Frances is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and auditing, as well as maintaining a keen financial eye for process improvements. Prior to joining TSP in 2014, Frances began her career in public accounting, eventually moving to establish a retail tax department for more than 1,500 store operations, and later ventured into mobile telecommunications and startup companies. Professionally, Frances’ modesty would label her as simply a generalist (her words), but her skills extend far beyond anything general. Her coworkers know her as level-headed and a problem solver, while Frances admits she can be demanding — a skill we never shy away from.

Hailing from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Frances received her undergraduate from Oklahoma State University. After college, she headed south to Texas and pursued further education at the University of North Texas to become a CPA. An animal lover, Frances’ passion charities are local shelters and rescues. But the one thing she loves more is quilting, as she volunteers at local quilting guilds in the North Texas area.

Off the clock, you’d be hard pressed to find Frances too far from a pair of quilting needles. As an avid quilter, Frances loves expressing her creativity through quilting, and most recently, fabric dying. As she says, her Sundays are either spent in her sewing room working on a quilt, or in her laundry room dying fabrics. If you can pull her away long enough, she loves to take in a Dallas Stars hockey game, and a round of breakfast tacos at her favorite restaurant, Ojedas.
