Project Manager-Nutanix

Do you excel at leading complex customer projects, driving successful technology implementations, and ensuring customers achieve their desired business outcomes? If so, joining our team as a Project Manager means playing a critical role in delivering customer success as organizations modernize infrastructure, adopt hybrid cloud technologies, and migrate workloads to the Nutanix Cloud Platform.

You will work closely with customers, consultants, architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to customer objectives. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with industry-leading professionals while helping customers realize measurable business value through
innovative technology solutions.

The Project Manager is expected to bring project management expertise, experience leading medium risk and complexity projects, and experience working on projects related to data center modernization, IT transformation, hybrid cloud technologies, virtual machine migrations, infrastructure operations, and enterprise technology deployments. This individual will work collaboratively with customer stakeholders and Nutanix delivery teams to ensure successful project execution, customer satisfaction, and achievement of business outcomes.


PROJECT MANAGERS AT TSP TYPICALLY HAVE THE FOLLOWING JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, success criteria, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with customers and stakeholders
  • Establish project governance and controls appropriate to customer requirements and project complexity
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, resource plans, and project documentation
  • Coordinate project activities across consultants, architects, customer teams, partners, and other stakeholders
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, financial forecasts, and change requests using established project management methodologies
  • Proactively identify, manage, communicate, and escalate project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and decisions to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Monitor project progress and drive resolution of obstacles that may impact delivery timelines, quality, or customer outcomes
  • Facilitate project meetings, steering committees, status reviews, and stakeholder communications
  • Provide accurate and timely project status reporting to customers and internal leadership
  • Manage customer expectations, build trusted stakeholder relationships, and ensure project deliverables align to business objectives while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Maintain project data and financial information within systems of record and support revenue forecasting activities
  • Collaborate with PMO leadership and peers to improve project delivery processes, tools, methodologies, and operational standards
  • Partner with sales, services sales, consulting, and delivery teams during project planning, execution, and closeout activities
  • Provide pre-sales support by assisting with project planning, effort estimation, statement of work reviews, delivery risk assessments, and PMO level-of-effort recommendations
  • Deliver world-class customer experiences while ensuring project outcomes meet contractual obligations, business objectives, and quality standards

THE IDEAL PERSON FOR THIS ROLE WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE SUCH AS:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of project management experience within an IT software, professional services, consulting, or technology delivery organization
  • Proven experience managing customer-facing infrastructure, cloud, software, virtualization, and IT transformation projects
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and delivery best practices
  • Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, facilitation, and time management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to partner with customers to understand business objectives and align project outcomes to desired business value
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills in dynamic customer environments
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability, ownership, and commitment to customer success
  • Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Experience managing projects involving organizational change, process transformation, or technology adoption initiatives
  • Proven customer-facing experience leading project delivery and managing stakeholder relationships, including executive-level stakeholders
  • Experience collaborating across sales, services sales, consulting, support, engineering, and partner organizations
  • Working knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, cloud platforms, hybrid cloud architectures, and data center modernization initiatives
  • Platform implementations, cloud migrations, data center transformations, or large-scale virtual machine migration projects
  • Experience managing fixed-price, time-and-materials, and milestone-based professional services engagements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Smartsheet, Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar project management and business systems
  • Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies, tools, processes, and methodologies
  • PMP certification required
  • Strongly preferred: Experience leading Nutanix deployments, infrastructure modernization initiatives, AHV migrations, Nutanix Cloud
  • Experience supporting pre-sales activities including project planning, effort estimation, statement of work reviews, and delivery risk assessments preferred
