Position Summary

This position will work on multiple projects in both Oracle R12 and 11i ERP versions with a focus on supporting design and development of enhancements, integration, workflows, and extensions. Forms and report building will be limited to bug fixes only, as all new development is either Apex, XML Publisher or extending into Microsoft’s Power BI tool for reporting. This position will be responsible for working with functional leads to design, analyze, troubleshoot, debug, develop and test integrated solutions. Responsibilities will also include all associated activities related to the Software Change Management process; including migration into controlled environments, packaging, scripting and documenting the migration process.


In this role, you can expect to have some of these responsibilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of Oracle e-Business Suites 11i/R12 architecture is required (e.g. table structures/schemas)
  • Expert technical knowledge in SQL, PL/SQL, XML/BI Publisher, tuning, query optimization techniques and Web Services (ORDS)
  • Must possess strong analytical skills, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and user support skills with the ability to effectively translate technical specifications into solutions
  • Solid experience in integration data mapping, data loader activities and UNIX/Linux shell scripting
  • Design and develop application modifications according to specifications provided
  • Ability to take user specifications and translate into technical specifications with assistance from analysts
  • Knowledgeable regarding Oracle APIs, Interface tables, Web Services via ORDS and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions as part of integration to/from Oracle EBS
  • Develop and execute unit test plans
  • Conduct and document rigorous quality assurance testing processes for all deliverables

Now that you know what you will be doing, here’s what you need to do it:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related area required.
  • Oracle certifications are a plus. Experience Minimum of 3+ years of technical experience supporting Oracle Applications (11.5.10.2, 12.2.5 preferred)
  • Ability to evaluate technology, make recommendation and work on ad-hoc end user support requests
  • Ability to learn and work with new technologies outside of Oracle Technologies (supporting business needs)
  • Some Cloud experience a plus
  • Must be a US citizen or a Green Card Holder

Skills

  • Technical programming as it relates to Oracle E-Business and related technologies. Solid understanding of integration processes of third party systems (design, mapping, and execution)
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), time management and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work well in a variety of team environments
  • Ability to perform high quality work within assigned deadlines
  • Ability to focus on the accomplishment of current departmental priorities
  • Solid skills as it relates to MS Office Suite; Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, familiarity with Project Management tools
