These are the job duties and responsibilities of a Facilities Drafter:

  • Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and process to meet goals outlined
  • Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance
  • Work is reviewed by management to measure meeting of objectives Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees
  • Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies — erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will cause delays in schedules
  • Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, outside customers and functional peer groups at management levels
  • Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
  • Provides general supervision to lower level supervisors and direct supervision to exempt employees and/or skilled nonexempt employees (i.e., engineering, technicians)
  • Liaison between process engineers and contractors.
  • Produces budgets as required in relation to the original design to reflect changes or transfer of information
  • Review and release changes and information for construction purposes
  • Monitors budgets and projections for the project
  • Update CAD Space in Excel and AutoCAD drawings quarterly
  • Update building drawings to master copy in Meridian
  • Assist with the printing of drawings
  • Update electrical panels to the database

You should be able to handle everything above because you have experience like:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent related experience
  • 5+ years working knowledge of the semiconductor manufacturing equipment installation to include a bill of materials, flow rates, process and mechanical systems, clean room technology, tooling requirements, semiconductor manufacturing methods, and trade protocols
  • Excellent AutoCAD skills
  • Ability to perform field verification in our pipe space and in raised floor areas
  • Ability to utilize ladders for above ceiling field verification
  • Database and vendor drawings, layout hierarchy, coordination of contractor routings and requirements
