The Challenge

The QCS system is the key to controlling the final quality of your product.Today's QCS systems have a wider assortment of sensors such as basis weight, moisture, caliper, ash, color, extensional stiffness, formation, and fiber orientation - just to name a few. These sensors require specific attention to keep them calibrated and measuring properly. The accuracy and repeatability of these measurements are critical to maintain the highest degree of control. Today's control strategies are more complex than ever due to multivariable predictive control technology.


The Solutions

TSP offers a portfolio of customized services designed to meet your specific needs for support. TSP can provide the following support services:

  • Planned Maintenance Service provides scheduled TSP preventative maintenance. The scope of coverage is determined by the customer's needs and the system complexity and is scheduled on weekdays during normal business hours. Customer personnel share duties in the system maintenance responsibility. Emergency service support is purchased as required with guaranteed response time.
  • Full Site Support Service Plan provides for one or more resident system specialists. Duties include (but are not limited to) unlimited sensor and scanner preventive and corrective maintenance, repair, control optimization, performance and production reporting.
  • Emergency Service is available on a T&M basis or on an Emergency Service Plan. This plan can provide for guaranteed response time depending on location to technical resources.
  • Installation, Moves, Adds, and Changes (IMAC) delivers comprehensive support for installing, moving, adding, or changing a system configuration. IMAC provides total implementation for the client's QCS system - from a single software application to physical installation of the equipment. To ensure the correct and quick installation of these services, TSP assigns an experienced Project Leader who works with the client throughout the entire process.
