BENEFITS
We at TSP strive to communicate our commitment and dedication to
each employee by highlighting the diverse items offered by our
company above and beyond your pay rate. At TSP, your total
compensation package encompasses much more than your hourly rate or
your annual salary. Several components contribute to the total
compensation package and employees often overlook the cost of
employer-sponsored benefits and the significant impact they make in
your total pay. This "hidden paycheck" illustrates the entire value
of an employee's total compensation package. Some highlights of our
benefits are below:
Insurance
HEALTH INSURANCE
TSP's health insurance providers are large nationwide carriers,
ensuring that even our employees outside of the DFW metroplex have
great access. Flexible plan design and a multitude of coverage
options give our employees a variety of quality medical options to
choose from to meet their individual needs. Employees pay a small
percentage of the health premium depending on the coverage
elections and plan choice.
ANCILLARY INSURANCE
All full-time TSP employees are automatically enrolled, at no cost
to you, in all of TSP's ancillary insurance programs. These include
Short-term Disability Insurance, Long-term Disability Insurance,
Group Term Life Insurance, and Accidental Death and Dismemberment
Insurance.
VOLUNTARY LIFE INSURANCE
In addition to the company paid Group Term Life insurance policy,
TSP also has Voluntary Life Insurance that you can purchase for
you, your spouse, and your dependents. All costs are age banded and
the amount of coverage you may elect depends upon your salary. Very
generous guaranteed issue amounts are available during your initial
enrollment period.
DISCOUNTED HOME AND AUTO INSURANCE
TSP's relationship with an auto and home insurance carrier allows
TSP employees to receive discounted rates for those types of
policies. Bundle your home and auto policy and you can save
even more. Your current providers may offer a cost that's
competitive to beat, but why not give it a try?
Health & Wellness
WELLNESS
A variety of wellness programs and information are available
through our medical insurance providers. In addition, TSP's
Employee Assistance Program provides assistance with personal
issues regarding parenting and childcare, eldercare, relationships,
work and career issues, and financial concerns. This program
provides assistance to you or an immediate household member via
phone, web, or in-person sessions.
WORK-LIFE BALANCE
Your stress levels are likely to increase when your work life and
your personal life are out of balance. During this time it is
becoming increasingly more difficult to separate the two, but
striking a balance isn't impossible. At TSP, programs such as flex
hours, compressed work weeks, telecommuting, and job sharing can
significantly help put the balance back into your work life and
your personal life.
Time Off
PERSONAL TIME OFF (PTO)
Our Personal Time Off benefit combines vacation, sick, and personal
time as well as floating holidays into a more equitable personal
time "bank" that fosters planning ahead for time off and managing
time wisely. PTO can be used for virtually any purpose to meet
personal needs. Our PTO policy recognizes the diverse needs and
lifestyles of employees and promotes flexibility and choice.
HOLIDAYS
In addition to PTO, employees can enjoy TSP's recognition of most
major holidays. Our holidays include New Year's Day, Spring
Holiday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, two days for
Thanksgiving, and two days for Christmas.
Training & Recognition
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
TSP employees are some of the best and brightest around, but
without continued training we all can become stagnant. We recognize
this important and often overlooked area of employee development.
TSP proudly supports and even offers continuing education and
training to ensure that TSP employees remain the best and brightest
in the workforce. Some of the training that might be
available to you includes formal classroom training, on-the-job
training, TSP developed "Boot Camp," and computer-based
training.
EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION
Through TSP's "Caught-in-the-Act" recognition program, multiple
employees are recognized or "caught-in-the-act" throughout the year
for going above and beyond. Monetary awards as well as recognition
are key parts of our program. In addition to ongoing recognition
through the year, TSP's Employee of the Quarter award recognizes
one to two employees each quarter for outstanding service.
Financial Tools
TRAVEL ASSISTANCE
As part of our Group Life Insurance contracts we are able to
provide travel assistance when any of our employees are on the
road. This no-cost benefit program includes travel, medical,
and safety related services while traveling. Business or
leisure…it's covered!
CHECKING AND SAVINGS ACCOUNTS
Utilizing TSP's corporate banking relationship we are able to offer
our employees fantastic banking options that are not available to
the general public.
FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS
To supplement our health and ancillary insurance programs we also
are proud to offer flexible spending accounts. If an employee
chooses to participate, money is deducted from the employee's
paycheck which is then set aside to pay for qualified medical
and/or dependent care expenses. This deducted money is not subject
to payroll taxes, and results in substantial payroll tax
savings.
401(k) RETIREMENT PLAN
We understand that planning for your retirement is extremely
important and the retirement options provided by an employer are a
major factor in making a future employment decision. At TSP we work
very closely with all of our plan advisors and consistently look at
our fund offerings to make sure we provide only the best to our
employees. TSP's 401(k) is a Profit Sharing Plan that has a
discretionary quarterly match, which will vary depending on the
profitability of the company.
